HEY, I'M CHELSIE!
I am so happy you are here! I have always loved working with kids and have been an elementary teacher for over 11 years. As a child, I was always interested in cooking, baking, and any crafts I could get my hands on. I would make "potions" with the neighborhood kids using random ingredients from other neighbors, most of them just turned into a mess, but we sure had fun in the process! I still have the mini sock monkey I made as a kid and a cross-stitch piggy bib I made. I could not get enough of crafting and cooking, anything I found to make with my hands I would try. I am still that way today, I love spending my free time quilting, sewing, knitting, baking, pottery, and learning new crafty skills! When I’m not crafting or learning something new you can find me and my husband camping and hiking in the mountains! I am so excited to teach your child all that I have learned over the years!
why i created makers club
I created the Elevation Handmade Makers Club for kids who love a variety of crafts and love to learn new practical skills. The Makers Club provides easy-to-follow videos, written steps as well as pictures for each step in each project. I will provide supply lists, instructions, and all of the information that makes it easy for them to get started. The videos are meant to be self-led so parents don’t have to monitor every step of the way unless they want to! I would love to have your child join me in learning and creating new projects in a safe supportive environment. Elevation Handmade Makers Club is your one-stop shop for all things that creative kids love! Let’s get started!
The Maker's Club has been so easy for my girls (9-year old twins) to use and navigate on their own, and a great way for them to pick up new techniques and handicrafts. When we begin a new project, I know they will be engrossed for HOURS learning and creating! Chelsie's instructions are clear, concise, and helpful for kids at all skill levels.
